Description
The project involved the rehabilitation/reconstruction of a 64 MW hydropower facility on the Saint Paul River in Liberia that was debilitated during the civil war in Liberia.
Objective
To reduce the power supply deficit in Liberia and the CLSG Member countries as well as augment the component of renewable energy in the regional energy mix.
Project Status
The implementation of the project implementation was completed in December 2016 and resulted in an augmentation of capacity to 88 MW. The preparation of the project was supported by WB and EU-A ITF.
