225 kV Guinea - Mali Interconnection Project

Objective
To interconnect the networks of Guinea and Mali.
Project Status
The pre-investment studies of the main interconnection are completed and environmental permits were issued. The pre-investment Studies on the Linsan-Fomi line by the Government of Guinea are on going. The mobilization process of financing relating to the total cost of €418.76 million including Linsan-Fomi line is in progress.
Follow up Actions Required
WAPP Secretariat to mobilise financing for project implementation and monitor the studies on Linsan - Fomi.
